We are focused on creating diverse urban habitats that support humans and wildlife by blending ecology and agriculture. Ancient principles, modern practices.
The standard idea of having a manicured lawn is not a viable solution for the issues we face today in the world of severe weather events like drought and flooding, rising food prices, loss of biodiversity and our disconnection with the natural world.
Our goal is to transform our local environment into beautiful, nurturing, entertaining and abundant sanctuaries. Places that serve both humans and wildlife, places that inspire our connection with nature. It's all possible and we're here to help achieve that possibility.
Deric Harvey - Founder/Owner

Deric has been growing plants since he was a young child inspired by the growth expedient pumpkin sprouts.
​
He has a B.S. in Agroecology and Environmental Studies from New College of Florida and is currently enrolled in the Soil Food Web program with Elaine Ingram, PhD., to become a consultant and creator of BioComplete compost.
​
Deric has spent many years working and living on small organic farms across the country and around the globe and has spent many years from youth to adulthood landscaping the greater Sarasota-Bradenton community.
